ADVANCE NOTICE Our next Reunion Gathering will be on the first Saturday in November 2018.
Location, exact time and date will be posted in due course. New photographs have been posted in the 'Photos and Memories' page - from the years that were one above us 1957 to 1962 mob. These are the forms from 1956 to 1961 - and many of them joined us in the later years. Check out 1956-56, 1958, 1959, 1960 and 1961. If anyone has other similar photos, let me know and I shall post them. Most of these are from my late brother's collection (Ian Semmel, 1943-2009, BHS from 1956 to 1961).

About 30 of us have signalled we are coming. Probably more. And a new guest from the first year of Balwyn High will be joining us - Paul Barnard who was at the school from 1954 to 1958. See his school memories under Personal Reminiscences in the Photos and Memories section and his later memories in the Student Stories. Many of us may remember Paul as "one of the big boys" when we were in our early years. Or his brother Colin who was in our year. Unfortunately Colin is not well enough to be with us but we wish him well. Kath McKay on behalf of 'the organising mob' Great day was had by all. Sunday 14 July 2013, a gathering has been organised to give us another chance to finish some of those conversations we started last October. And also to remember John Martin, amazing teacher, particularly of Modern History, who gave many of us a very clear insight into the underpinnings of our world. See details on separate page 14 July 2013 gathering
Check out Brian Stagoll's address to the class of 2013 on the Forum Page. Well said, Brian.

Everyone will be saddened to hear that Gerd Kratzer died on Sunday, 2 December. Without Gerd, we would never have had a 20th or 25th reunion of our year 12 and would not have been able to find many of you for our 50th reunion. He shared a great deal of information with us including lists he had kept for 25 years and handed on. He also wrote a couple of great pieces that are on this website under Student Stories and Memories. Unfortunately he was too ill to attend our dinner on 27 October. By his own estimation, he had a great life.
Eckart's obituary by his brother-in-law and ex-BHS student, Alf Summner, is on the Forum page of the website. Kath
