11 November 2017 Gathering - Harp of Erin Hotel, Kew

Another great gathering of ex-BHS colleagues from 1957 to 1962. Nineteen of us gathered on a lovely sunny evening and had a great fun night. The Harp of Erin Hotel is a sentimental favourite for many of us and did us proud. There were almost twice as many apologies as attendances and it seems people really want to stay connected (see list at end of this post). Those who could not come sent lots of great emails sending good wishes and letting us know what they have been up to. Kath and Brian read many of these out to the gathering on the day. Always lots of stories to tell.

Good food, some drinks, good friends, lots of laughs, many memories, and a beautiful afternoon/evening: what more could you want! We decided to meet every year at the same time of year ie the first Saturday after Cup Day. And next year we shall do a lunch or afternoon gathering for those who may prefer not to drive in the dark (we are not getting any younger!). More information in the group emails.
